Photography using a polarized light microscope -- Mr.Minoru Akiyama

Born in Tokyo in 1930.
Graduated from the department of english literature, Aoyama Univ.
Graduated from postgraduate course of living design, Laboratory of Kuwasawa Design.
Apprenticeshiped by both Mr. Kiyoshi Ootsuji & Shouzo Kitashiro.
Started working as a freelancer from 1965. Mostly taking photographs of industrial pictures, architectual pictures, and microscopic photographs. Won state calender and state poster awards.
Photographic exhibitions: 1965 -- building berth and pipelines. 1974 - design of the micro. 1982 - professional tools, carpenter tools (its usability and beauty).
1985 - chinese underground house. 1989 - scenery of the micro. Design of the micro. The world of micro(high-vision).

Japanese houese, replaying of private houses, japanese traditional industrial arts. Micro arts. Etc.

How to take insect photographs -- Mr. Kazuo Unno
Born in Tokyo in 1947.Main field is center Tokyo, Komoro-shi, Nagano pref. Where his Atrie is, and rainforests of asia and northern america.
Spends about 100 days abroad, another 100 days photographing inside Japan.
The observation book "mimicks of insects"(Heibon publishing) was awarded the 1994 Japanese Association of Photography award.
"flying butterfly's scenery"(Heibon Publishing), "Great Discription of Insects"(Data House Publishing), "My Discription of Insects in Tokyo"(Marusho Publishing), and the CD-ROM of "Multimedia Insects Illustrated"(Ascii Publishing) are his major writings.
His newest book is "The Record of Butterflies"(Fukuonnkann Shoin Publishing).
He is also coming out on TVs such as "Mr. Kazuo Unno's Record of Rainforest Insects" for NHKBSTV, "The World of Mr. Kazuo Unno" for perfect TV 6 hour broadcast, and News 23.
Now, He is also shooting with videos of the world looked at from a different viewpoint. He is the vice-chairman of the SSP, director of Japan Insect Association, member of Japan Professional Photographer's Socitey.

The World of Multi Focus -- Dr. Kenji Kohiyama
Born in Tokyo in 1942. Graduated from master's of electrical engineering department, department of engineering, Keio University in 1967. Entered NTT Japan. Was engaged in the research of digital wireless communication at the Research Institute of Electrical Communication. Doctor's degree of engineering in 1976. Head of Research Institute of Wireless System from 1992.
Received the achivement award from The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers for developping a 256 QAM digital microwave technology in 1993.
Received the Maeshima award from The Association of Communication for developping PHS (Personal Handyphone System) in 1995.
Executive Director of NTT-AT from 1996.
Professor at the Graduate School of Media and Governance, Keio University from 1997.
Wrote "Butterflies of Japan","Continued Butterflies of Japan"(Yama-to-Keikoku Publication), " Otori Butterfly"(Koudan Publishing), "Everything about Personal Communication"(NTT Publication), etc.

Practical Close-up Photography -- Mr. Kon Sasaki
Born in Chintao, China in 2nd of November, 1918.
Apprenticeshiped by Mr. Iehei Kimura from 1951.
Started a camera shop in Kobe from 1955. While managing a photo studio in Osaka, he started to announce his works in graph magazines, weekly magazines, and camera magazines from 1957.
Became a freelancer camera man and came to Tokyo in march of 1960.
Entered Kagaku-Eiga company of Tokyo Cinema Company in 1963. In charge of Scientific photographs.
His series of "The Color of Science" was on the monthly magazine "Bungei Shunjyu" for a year in 1963.
Also did a series of "Saijiki(seasonal words)" for the same magazine above in 1964.
Did a series of "Small Lifeforms" for a magazine "Asahi Camera"(by Asahi newspaper publishing) from the first issue of 1966 to July of 1980, continuing for 13 years and 6 months.
Exhibited his first "Small Lifeforms" exhibition at Nikon Saloon, Ginza in 1968. Afterwards, exhibitions were held at Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Fukuoka, Kashiwazaki, Hokkaido, Okinawa, Tianjin, etc.
Quits Tokyo Cinema Company and again, becomes a freelance camera man in 1969.
Recieves award from Japanese Professional Photographer's Society in 1972.
Does a series "Mini Natural History" for a year on every sunday Asahi paper in 1973.
Starts SSP with Mr. Yoshio Takemura on 6th of July, 1978 and becomes vice-chairman. Mr. Shinichi Kikuchi becomes Honory Chairman, Becoming the 2nd chairman of SSP in 1981.
Starts series "New Small Lifeforms" on "Asahi Camera" magazine from march of 1983. Ends his work of the "Small Lifeform" series on December of 1991, finishing his 25 years of series.
Recieves The presentation of Decoration, Gold Rays with Rosette in fall of 1992.


Now: Chairman of SSP. All-Japan Association of Photographic Societies Kanto Headquarters Committee. Member of Japan Professional Photographer's Society.
Written books: "Small Lifeforms" from Asahi Shinbun in 1971. "Birth of Life" from Ie-no-Hikari Society in 1978. "Birth of a cyprinodont", "Life of a silkworm", "Life of a firefly" were added by him to the Froebel Kan's Observation Series starting from 1979. "Practical Close-up Photo" from Asahi Sonorama in 1984. Morphe's "Shapes of Flowers" from IPC in 1988. "New Small Lifeform" from Asahi Shinbun in 1992. "Story of Birth" from Datahouse in 1995. A special feature "Drug zone - Kobe" on the magazine Asahi Graph on the 10th of November, 1961.
