| The book "Practical close-up photography" sold
on 1984/5/12 is a book that I wrote. I will introduce a part of it.

@ If you want to take pictures that look as though it's floating in air, even if it's not a circular object, this picture is the way. It's possible to apply to many different objects. The left picture is a photograph of a horseshoe-crab larva inside its egg. |

This is a way to take picture of really small
objects (Right photo, figure no.2). I made a really small aquarium
using the slide glass and cover glass for a microscope. It is
rather easy to focus because there is not much depth to consider.
The fast movement of the object is not a critical problem.
Because of the change in water temperature,
the water must be exchanged rather rapidly, but this way makes
it possible to progress with speed.

| I explained various things in my photograph life based
around the "small life". But some of the techniques that I introduced here are of no use since today's cameras are much more advanced. Therefore, I'm not sure if any of the techniques are of any example. I solely hope that, by understanding the difficulties of us, there would be a newer person willing to try as hard to create a new piece of artwork. |
